St. Patty's Day is the perfect day to showcase Ashley and Dennis's Irish Wedding! The elegant details of the venue made The First Lady of Suffolk a perfect place for their union. Ashley's hair was beautifully done by Hair By Emily Dami. A sweet hand tying ceremony and Irish vows were just a few unique details that quickly became my favorite! Ashley spends many hours in the barn with her horses, but for this day, she traded in the boots for heels and made such a stunning and a breathtaking bride. The evening reflected the couple- full of energy, love, laughter, and a lil' sass!
Rogers Family at Maymont
Jennifer contacted me for a family session with the very strong warning of ”My child is impossible! You need to know what you’re getting into!” I found this so amusing- this poor mom! I assured her there was no reason to stress. I do pose- lighty, but embrace natural interactions and expressions.
This session is the perfect example that perfect children who love posing (is there really such a thing?) are not needed to make a great family photo- no tears involved! Did I get my steps in this day? Yes. Did the session turn out amazing? YES!! I mean, how cute is this family!
This sweet girl right here- wild and curious, energetic, sitting still was close to impossible for her. She wanted nothing to do with my camera! But when Mom and Dad embraced, she ran up and put their hands together. My heart melted.
This is NOT the most perfect image. But this is a story of LIFE. The little kiddo’s hand reaching up for Mom and Dad, tells more of a story than a perfectly posed image ever could. I had to include it!
Myrtle Memorial Family Session
Creatives have a degree of fantasy when we look at anything remotely interesting. One may exclaim “Oh what a pretty tree!”, and move on. Myself, no. In the split second I see the bright florals dancing in the August evening sun, I see sweet girls twirling their dresses, Mama’s sweet kisses and “Ring Around the Rosy” among siblings. Every day I passed by this amazing Crape Myrtle as I drove through my Chesapeake neighborhood, and when word reached me that the land had been sold and it was going to be torn down, I quickly contacted to the owner to fulfill my photographic fantasy.
